So the other day I was on the Forever 21 website and I came across these sunglasses and I was amazed how similar they were to the Chloe Carlina sunglasses, which are retailing for £211 while the Forever 21 pair are £6!
Hope everyone is well, I can't believe it's August already!?! How time flies by!
So lately I've been going to Body Shop a lot more often now, especially since they have a lot more offers on from 35-40% to buy one get one half price. I took advantage of these offers and here are the few items that I purchased.
One of the items that I repurchased was the 'Vitamin C Facial Cleansing Polish'. I brought this cleansing polish back in January as my face needed a 'pick me up' during the long winter we had. At first I didn't really see any difference the polish made and after a few washes I started breaking out, so I stopped using it for a bit. However, I thought I'd give it another go and I noticed that it gave my face that glow, however this time around I only use it a few times a month when I need it, which has prevented me from breaking out especially since I have sensitive skin. I do recommend this but I would say purchase it when there is an offer on as it is normally £10, which for some it can be pricey.
Next off is the 'Ginger anti-dandruff shampoo'! I wanted to try something new as I've been using the L'oreal Elvive anti-druff shampoo for quite a few years now so that day I thought I'd branch out. So I tried out the shampoo the smell I got use to and it wasn't that bad considering it does have ginger in it. It does however leave the smell in your hair which for some may not mind while others would, so that's a point to consider.Unfortunately once I washed my hair and combed my hair I found that my hair become very dry which made me combing my hair very difficult! I was really disappointed with the product as I've already have frizzy/curly hair and making it dry didn't help the situation! I have given the shampoo another go and found that it still made my hair very dry and so I've discontinued using it. Would I recommend this, the answer would be no as it made my hair extremely dry and I wasn't able to see whether it helped reduce the appearance of dandruff as my hair became very damaged looking and lost it's shine.
Next off is another re-purchase I made was the 'Hemp lip conditioner' which I have purchased over and over again since the assistant at body shop recommended me this. I have very dry lips and especially in the winter it does get a lot worse, which isn't so glamorous. This lip conditioner is a life saver! I've never seen my lips so dry free and I very happy that I don't suffer from it no more. I do have to say I do apply this product once in the morning and at night and maybe sometimes during the day. When you do star using this product do apply it liberality and a lot more often, but once your lips are chapped free you won't have to apply it as often.
Having a body shop loyalty card you receive a £5 gift for your birthday so I used this for the 'Vitamin E eye cream'. Many companies and products do say they can reduce the appearance of dark circles, which to some extent it is true but I have to say some are just for short term result while others don't show any results at all. I have used this eye cream for quite a while now but unfortunately I didn't see any results, which wasn't a surprise to me! However the eye cream did my eye lids really soft and you don't need a lot so you do get good use of the the eye cream. With dark circles you need to find the cause of the dark circles rather than relying on creams as I think that once you know the cause you can treat the dark circles appropriately and hopefully reduce them in the long term whether it's hereditary, lack of sleep/water, vitamin deficiency or allergies.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post, please let me know if you want me to review any products you have in mind or drop a comment on a product that you absolutely love, I would love to hear from you!
I currently have an obsession with hi-tops, especially since I've started uni as they're so easy to wear and comfy. I've seen these aztec hi-tops from Topshop and they are right up my alley, I just love bright colours!
I currently have an obsession with anything that is rose gold and these earrings from Next were perfect, especially since I've been looking for a pair of earrings to match my rose gold flats from Topshop!
I currently own a pair of studded shoes by Topshop which are my 'go-to' shoes, however I couldn't help buying these rose gold ballet pumps to add to my shoe collection, as it would have been silly of me not to! I found them super comfy just like my previous pair and I thought it would be a nice change to have rose gold in my wardrobe rather than just silver and gold. I can't wait to wear them!
Being a uni student I have found that it is so much easier to throw on a jumper and a pair of skinnies and you are good to go! And to be honest with you I kind of like it especially as it's so cold outside now! However me being me I love to accessorize,so I'll be teaming this jumper with my H&M neon necklace I brought the other day as I think it brings the outfit together and looks like you have actually made an effort, rather than looking like you have just rolled out of bed!
A while back H&M were selling a green neon necklace similar to the one pictured above, unfortunately I wasn't able to get my hands on it! So when I went to H&M on Friday and I spotted this necklace I had to have it, I'm so pleased to add this to my neon collection!
A few months back it was my birthday and one of the gifts I received was the Versace 'Bright Crystal' perfume. I was so happy when I unwrapped it as I have gone through many Versace perfume bottles in the past so I knew I would love this one! I found that it was 'light' and 'sweet' which was perfect for me as I needed a new 'day to day' perfume. I even got a pouch with the perfume which was a bonus as I was running out of room to store my nail polishes!
H&M currently has a sale on and I got myself a yellow lace top and a pastel green dress and they were a BARGAIN! The top was £7.99 and I got it for £3 and the dress was £19.99 and it was reduced to £10! H&M sales are a life saver as I'll be needing a lot more clothes since I won't have a uniform now as I'll be off to university very soon!
Want to start off by apologising to everyone for not blogging lately, I've just been super busy trying to sort out everything before I start university. So I've hardly had time to sit down and blog about things that I wanted to. So please bare with me and I'll try my best to blog more!
Being a huge watch fan, I treated myself to another DKNY watch from Watch Palace to add to my growing watch collection. I opted for the rose gold version over the silver one as I've started to become a fan of gold jewellery/accessories and I thought it looked perfect!
I went shopping the other day and I couldn't stop myself from going to Primark and I'm glad I did! I picked up these amazing black heels for £12!!! It was such a bargaining and it was the last pair in my size so I brought them in a heart beat! They actually reminded me of the famous black Zara heels and I think they are a perfect staple item to have in your wardrobe.
The other day I went shopping with a friend of mine who is a huge fan of Zara, which is great because we can spend a very long time in Zara without a problem. As Zara has a sale on I always take advantage of it and I never go home empty handed! I picked up this blouse for £10 which I was very pleased about as I'm wanting to expand my blouse section in my wardrobe. When I first picked up the blouse from the rack my first thoughts were 'I've seen this blouse before?' and then I realised I saw Kylie Jenner wearing it (i'm a huge Kardashian/Jenner fan)! I loved the way she teamed it with a pair of skinny jeans and nude heels, perfect for summer!
Do you guys prefer the blouse in the pink or the yellow?
